We hired Johnanthony to design our kitchen, and it was the absolute best decision! We had contacted and met with other kitchen designers and after a bad experience, we called JA Kitchen and Bath. After our first meeting with Johnanthony at our house, we felt confident that we had found the right person. We were definitely right! We felt from the beginning that he was not out to spend our money but rather give us a beautiful kitchen while saving us money. He had a great sense of listening to what we wanted and advising us when necessary. He designed a beautiful kitchen for us, and when we had to make some major changes after our demolition, he jumped right into action and quickly redesigned the space so we could move forward with our contractor.

Johnanthony was patient, professional, easy to work with, worked with our contractor, and truly wanted the best for us. He was very thorough and helped us make decisions that made the most sense in terms of both function and elegance. Every morning, we stare in awe at what Johnanthony created for us. We cannot believe it is our kitchen!

DESIGN PHASE

My journey from vision to reality was seamless and rewarding. During the design phase, I worked with John and Gina at JA Kitchen and Bath to lay out a floor plan, a blueprint, for my new kitchen. It showed the future arrangement of walls, cabinets, appliances, and other key elements like lighting, windows, and doors. After nearly 40 years, my kitchen was in dire need of an update and modernization.

I found John and Gina to be simply outstanding. Their complementary skill sets ensured the proposed kitchen design fit my budget and timeline, functioned efficiently for the whole family, and allowed me to insert our family “personality” in the form of the cabinet design, colors, and accents like countertops, handles and knobs.

Gina runs the showroom with an exceptional sense of style and aesthetics. She helps you narrow down you options by eliminating things that don’t fit your preferences and suggesting ones that are visually appealing and cohesive with your existing home decor. She understands what works best from the perspective of both a homeowner and a cook.

John manages the entire design process from initial consultation through pre-build, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently. He is the master designer and craftsman. His ability to come up with thoughtful, creative, and efficient layouts is outstanding. He anticipates issues and obstacles ahead of time, keeps the project on track by preventing unnecessary revisions, and avoids disruptions.

Both John and Gina listen attentively, pay attention to detail, and ensure all design elements— from cabinetry to flooring to countertops—complement one another to create a cohesive and harmonious look. They treat you like family and genuinely want you to love the space you live in.

After finalizing a design that perfectly balanced aesthetics, functionality, and budget, I couldn’t wait to see it come to life during the build phase.

BUILD PHASE

John seamlessly orchestrated every aspect of the build phase as both the general contractor and skilled carpenter, ensuring that every detail came together flawlessly in the end. He carefully coordinated many moving parts to avoid or minimize downtime and added expense. His and his team’s communication skills, cleanliness, attention to detail, and respect for my time, property, and wallet were exceptional.

Our 67-year-old house surprised us a couple of times. Each time, John–”MacGyver”, as I came to call him– carefully assessed the situation and presented me with well-thought-out potential solutions. He outlined the options clearly, weighed the pros and cons, and explained how each choice would affect the project timeline and budget. His communications were relevant, timely, and easy to understand. He always stuck to my original vision and kept my family’s best interests top of mind.

Johnanthony Fiorilli, of JA Kitchen and Bath, completely renovated our “powder room”, our two bathrooms, and our kitchen.  These rooms were demolished “to the studs” and completely rebuilt.  We were very pleased with the work he and his colleagues did, have asked him to do other work on our house, and recommend him strongly.  Johnanthony brings to his work excellent building skills, great intelligence and creativity, perseverance, honesty, kindness, and friendliness—and a fine sense of humor, an important asset in dealing with the frustrations of renovation work.  And there were a lot of frustrations on our jobs.  Our house was not well designed, and many shortcuts were taken in its construction.  Being a kitchen-and-bath-renovation general contractor is a very difficult profession, as you’re constantly fitting new wiring, plumbing, appliances, and other work—all the fundamental systems that make a housework--into an existing structure, rather than being able to “start fresh”.  In our case, the difficulty was increased by the “inherited” problems in our house.  And we had problems with delays and incorrect shipments from suppliers, and we caused some problems by changing our minds about some things.  Throughout all of this, Johnanthony worked hard and thoughtfully to solve problems, to figure out new ways of doing things as the structure of the house required initial plans to be modified.  When problems came up, he worked with us to solve them.  When we had warranty issues—bad finish jobs on a couple of our cabinet doors—he made sure that the vendor replaced them and installed the new ones at no cost to us.  Johnanthony was very consultative with us and made it clear that our happiness with our new rooms was his highest priority.  We felt that Johnanthony’s pricing was fair, and he was very clear about his billing process.  We felt that he was completely honest.

I recently had a kitchen island built and installed in my home, and I couldn’t be happier with the results! The craftsmanship is exceptional, and the attention to detail is evident in every aspect of the design. The kitchen island has not only added functionality to my kitchen but also elevated the overall aesthetic. Professional staff and owners are very involved to ensure satisfaction. Installer was professional and courteous. We could not be happier with our kitchen upgrade. If you are looking for attention to detail, a fair price, and clean up when the job is done JA is the place. I contracted John for the first time to replace an old kitchen window at my mom’s house. We chose an updated Andersen that almost fit perfectly but needed a little extra detailing. John did a great job setting it in and caulking it for weather. He also came back to put up a new shade we picked out and consulted me on the sizing to work out with Home Depot. Thanks again to JA.

We had a specific cabinet company that we wanted when we renovated our kitchen a few years ago. We went to multiple kitchen dealers and found that JA Kitchen & Bath was the easiest to work with, the most responsive, and least expensive. I had an older kitchen that needed a refresh. I contacted a local cabinetry dealer in the Jenkintown area to assist me in getting updated doors, drawers, and hardware. They were not interested in helping me unless I was ordering full cabinets. I contacted the manufacturer, Designers Choice Cabinetry, for another local dealer and they told me to contact JA Kitchen & Bath. It was the best thing that could have happened for me. John was very knowledgeable and was more than willing to assist me in getting the required components for my kitchen. He also came out and installed everything for us. I then had him update my bathroom with a new vanity. John did such a great job that we are working with him in our new home in Huntington Valley to install our front door, 2 back doors and a patio door. We’ll also be renovating our Master and hall bathrooms and kitchen in the summer!

I have been so pleased by my decision to purchase my kitchen cabinets from JA Kitchen & Bath. The quality of the cabinets is very good, and John and his experienced team did a great job. JA Kitchen & Bath recently helped us update and redesign our kitchen layout and we couldn’t be happier! Our original kitchen had a lot of unused space and wasn’t nearly as functional as it could be considering the size – JA solved that problem beautifully. Our new kitchen features a large pantry with pull out drawers, a new island with seating, and a more functional workspace that opens into the dining room. John communicated with us throughout the entire process and suggested improvements we otherwise wouldn’t have considered. The soft close drawers, spice rack/cookie sheet pull out cabinet, and built in trash cabinet are a must! Thanks again JA- we finally got the kitchen we always wanted!

Johnanthony made sure he had the measurements for each piece for the design layout, everything fit PERFECTLY. This was made possible because he worked closely with our contractor to ensure a team effort was taken. I don’t usually make recommendations or post ratings on businesses, but I have to here. Johnanthony remodeled two bathrooms in our 1970’s-built home. They were gut-jobs — took everything out down to the studs. He did a beautiful job. When the house fought back, being old and not very well-built in the first place, he figured out good workarounds.
